Pneumatic Turnover Tool

Pneumatic Turnover ToolAs with the ETT, the Pneumatic Turnover Tool gives the borescope inspector complete control of the speed, and direction of rotor rotation. Adjustable locks allow the operator to preset the motor to the optimum speed. And the locks have quick release, which allow the inspector to slow or stop the rotor as needed.

The Pneumatic Turning Tool's primary component is the Gearbox Assembly, which includes an air motor. The standard Gearbox Assembly (18932) has a maximum speed of 0.16 rpm at 90 psi (50 CFM) with a gear ratio of 2.817:1.

The Gearbox Assembly is mounted to the engine by means of an Adapter Assembly or Support Frame. A Drive Shaft connects between the gearbox and the engine's mounting location. A Foot Control (18902C) or a Hand Control (18903) remotely actuates the Gearbox Assembly. Either control can vary the Gearbox Assembly's speed to as low as 1/15 rpm.

The controls can also start, stop, and reverse engine rotation. The Output Shaft of the Gearbox is equipped with a shear pin to prevent damage to either the Gearbox or the engine if the rotor becomes "frozen".
