Caspian Oil & Gas 2008
For the second year in succession Hydratight have been present at the Caspian Oil & Gas Show in Baku, Azerbaijan, held between June 3rd and June 6th 2008 at the Heydar Aliyev Sport & Exhibition Complex.
This event, although also supported by the likes of BP, Technip, and Lukoil was, in sharp contrast to the 2007 exhibition, a somewhat muted affair from an international perspective, with all attendees commented on the lack of throughput of overseas industry exhibitors and visitors.
In contrast to the 2007 show, the 2008 exhibition was heavily subscribed to by local and regional oil companies as well as sales and service operations rather than international names, with Hydratight’s Azeri exhibition staff dealing with enquires about our products and services in Azeri, Russian and Turkish and English languages.
Since the exhibition, recently appointed HT Operations Engineer Rovshan Chobanzada (previously an Onsite Supervisor) has been following up on enquiries for equipment and services from local and Turkish companies as well as developing contacts made into SOCAR, the State Oil Company.
