This conference is directly aimed at the broad community of pressure vessel engineers, designers, plant managers and engineering professionals who have responsibility for specifying, purchasing and owning and maintaining pressure equipment in its widest sense. This includes all sectors especially conventional, nuclear and renewable power generation, oil and gas, aerospace, petrochemical, transportation industries.
The expansion of the global market for new equipment in the nuclear and petrochemical sectors, the management of ageing assets, and developments and harmonisation of national legislation and codes and standards are the major themes. Issues and means for controlling quality in international markets and supply chains for the procurement of new pressure equipment materials and fabrications will also be discussed. The needs of developing engineers are covered through a series of topical teach-ins.
A prestigious speaker will give the Roy Nichols memorial lecture on an issue of wide international importance. There is also a chance for break-out and panel sessions on particular technical subjects.
ICPVT is organised by the ICPVT European and African Committee. It is hosted by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers supported by its Pressure Systems Group.
