Hydratight opens new strategic hub in Singapore

For bolting to total joint integrity leader, Hydratight, 2008 sees a major shift in the Company’s presence in the SE Asia region with the opening of a new and fully operational facility in Singapore as part of a major worldwide expansion programme.

The new facilities have received significant investment, providing a full service base in this important oil and gas-producing region with fully equipped workshop, comprehensive design and administrative office, technical support, training facilities and workforce which has experience and expertise in depth in the specialist field of total joint integrity.

These new facilities replace the long-standing 3rd party releationship Hydratight has had with Eriks Singapore by providing the market with a significantly broader and more responsive technical service with a wide range of products held in stock for sale or hire.

Hydratight’s Operations Manager for the SE Asia region, Mark Foggin announced the opening of the new operations citing; “As part of the US Actuant Corporation Hydratight is a global company and market leader in total joint integrity. Through this new Singapore facility we will provide product and service for bolt tightening and on-site machining services with leak sealing being available soon following the full integration of Injectaseal, the specialist leak-sealing company acquired by Hydratight during ‘07. A full engineering service and design capability is also available to provide bespoke solutions to any bolt tightening and joint integrity problems.”

As many operators and sub contractors hire tooling Hydratight provides a full training facility to ensure technicians using the specialised tools do so with the full knowledge and understanding of the theory and practice needed to operate tools within their capabilities to ensure total joint integrity is achieved.

Hydratight is a global company with a unique track record in its field having advanced the technology of bolt tightening with the original development of hydraulic bolt tensioning tool design and today manufactures all its own tools to one global standard. This includes all topside and sub-sea hydraulic bolt tensioners and the complete range of RSL hydraulic torque tools.

Also in Singapore and as part of the Actuant organisation Hydratight will share its facilities with the regional hub for Enerpac products in the SE Asia region which occupies the adjacent building in the same development.
