Down Mexico Way

21 May 2009

Hydratight's new Latin American operation, Hydratight de Mexico in the industrial area of Veracruz, is pursuing a vigorous rental service for the company's high-quality bolt torque and tension tools and pipe-cutting equipment.

Incorporated in February 2009, Hydratight de Mexico has been set up specifically to offer rental services to industry in general.

"By offering tool rentals we open a totally new market, giving access to top-line equipment to a wide range of industrial operations that didn't have access before.

Companies with only occasional tensioning requirements, or those unable or unwilling to afford the capital outlay necessary, can still use the best tools available for the job they have to do," explained local operations manager, Jose Antonio de Val.

"We are now visiting potential customers and the response so far has been excellent. We anticipate very attractive rental volumes very soon."

Hydratight de Mexico is housed in a new 6,700sq ft plant alongside neighbours such as Cameron, Hydril, Rolls Royce, Techint and many other American and British companies.

As well as Jose, the facility houses a key account manager, who handles sales, and a shop technician who oversees rental and return, tool maintenance and inventory. The facility reports to Hydratight's regional leader for Latin America, Andy van Walleghem.
