Subsea Training

Following requests from major subsea clients, Hydratight has developed a range of courses which will aid operators/divers in minimising potential downtime, and provide a safer working environment when using high pressure hydraulic joint integrity equipment.
Legislation states that “the end user or employee should be provided with training in the use of the equipment they are expected to operate within their daily working environment”, this is the employer’s responsibility.
Hydratight’s Subsea courses provide underpinning knowledge of the following:
- Subsea theory, specific to the assembly and tightening of flanged bolted connections
- Gasket identification, and its features and benefits including failure mechanisms
- Subsea flanged bolted connection tightening tools options − your tool fit issues resolved
- The mechanics of tensioning − load loss explained and demonstrated
- Maintenance issues: subsea torque, tensioners, pumps, hoses and connections − all procedures and spares lists are supplied
- Software demo of validated torque/tension values for subsea applications − calculation methods explained and demonstrated
- Flange spreaders/pullers − maintenance, features and benefits
- Dos and don’ts of joint integrity tightening equipment − experience
All tightening equipment is supplied for hands on practical use in a workshop or in a diver’s tank as requested.
