Subsea Bolted Joint Integrity Courses

Diver and AJ's_yellow2_0.jpgFollowing requests from major subsea clients, Hydratight has developed a range of subsea training courses which will aid operators/divers in reducing potential downtime, and provide a safer working environment when using high pressure hydraulic joint integrity equipment.

Legislation states that "the end user or employee should be provided with training in the use of the equipment they are expected to operate within their daily working environment", this is the employer's responsibility.

Hydratight's Subsea training courses are detailed below.

  • HT16 Bolted Joint Integrity and Hydraulic Tensioning (Subsea) - 1 Day
  • HT17 Bolted Joint Integrity and Hydraulic Torque Tightening (Subsea) - 1 Day

A detailed synopsis of each training course can be found within our Technical Training Synopsis document which is available for download.

These courses are delivered in a topside environment and provide underpinning knowledge in the following areas:

  • Subsea theory, specific to the assembly and tightening of bolted connections
  • Gasket identification, and its features and benefits including failure mechanisms
  • Subsea flanged bolted connection tightening tools
  • The mechanics of tensioning - load loss explained and demonstrated
  • Maintenance issues: subsea torque, Tensioners, pumps, hoses and connections
