Graduate Production Engineer

Key responsibilities;

• Implementing processes to ensure the quality of supplied components meets production requirements. Working with Quality, Engineering and Purchasing to raise corrective action requests, perform root cause analyses and continuously improve the process.
• Liaising with engineering and workshop supervisor to establish safe and efficient assembly and testing procedures for all products.
• Coordinates production priorities with MRP planner and workshop
• In coordination with workshop help devise training programs to improve technician competency and capability.
• Providing input to the design process to provide ease of manufacture, assembly and test.
• Documenting, auditing and maintaining standard work instructions where required.
• Actively participating in meetings to coordinate problem resolution with relevant departments including oracle team, customer support, engineering, logistics, workshop etc.
• Ensuring all customer requirements are met in accordance with the contract review. This includes QA documentation (supplied with goods and/or created in-house), marking or labeling, special packing, third party inspection, dimensional certification, conformity to standards, photos etc.
• Providing project management support to the sub-con engineers for large value orders of special products e.g. MSTs
• Assisting the sub-con engineers in advising sub-contractors with optimizing their processes for quality, time and cost for supplied components.

Candidates wishing to be considered for this position should possess the following qualifications / experience:

• B.Sc. in Mechanical, Industrial or Production Engineering or a similar discipline.
• Good understanding of quality management systems, tools and techniques
• Project management knowledge
• Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma would be an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
