• Lead and maintain a process focused culture which drives continuous improvement to include reducing cycle time, cost and improved quality of existing operational layout to create a productive working environment for all employees.
• Work closely with appropriate team members utilizing LEAD tools and activities as the method of determining what process changes are needed to enhance value to the customer.
• Plans and is responsible for manpower, machines, materials and methods.
• Responsible for self-sufficient procurement and development of subcontract suppliers.
• Develop and promote continuous engineering interface between sales and focused factory teams.
• Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan production operations.
• Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
• Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
• Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum time and cost in turn preventing operational delays.
• Collaborates with other areas and teams within the company, maintaining good will.
• Takes the lead in promoting a culture that identifies process bottlenecks and areas of downtime, which could adversely impact customer satisfaction. Actively responds with positive actions to solve problems.
• Carries out and is supportive of company policies in all areas. This includes, but is not limited to policies involving human resources, safety, personal conduct, practices involving quality, control of purchased and manufactured parts.
• Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with specified process standards.
• Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.
• Directly supervises employees in the Focused Factory Group. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent people skills with the ability to lead, coach and motivate team members
• Knowledgeable in production inventory management
• Knowledgeable in machine tool manufacturing practices utilized in the Antigo manufacturing environment
• Thorough knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
• Excellent computer skills required
• Excellent customer contact skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in driving projects
• Proficient project management skills required
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
