Turbine Engine Digital Turning Tool

Hydratight's Sweeney brand of Digital Turnover Tool (DTT) is designed to improve the efficiency of aircraft engine borescope inspections by automating the process of rotor shaft positioning.

The DTT provides greater efficiency than manual turnover by eliminating the need for a second technician to rotate the engine shaft. The DTT also provides a constant rotation speed, overshoot-free operation and automatic blade counting, all of which are unattainable with manual turnover.

There are three major components to the DTT system: the controller, the power unit, and the drive unit. All engine inspection functions reside on the controller, with a second user interface housed on the power unit.
