The Service Desk Analyst is responsible for performing all Service Desk operations which interface Actuant end-users with the IT Department. These operations include answering and fixing Level 1 issues, recording problems/requests, forwarding the open ticket to the proper IT resources for resolution, and following up with both end-users and IT personnel on project status.   This position will also assess the severity of problems related to business impact and determine appropriate course of action required for each problem. This position is key to the productivity of all Actuant end users in Europe, with primary focus on users located in the UK.

  • Preparing and issuing professional quotations where required and supplying relevant data/details to regional commercial teams to enable them to quote clients directly.

Design, Development and Specialist Technical support of NPD products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Torque and Tension products identified as priorities by the NPD team.
  • High level of conceptual involvement including extensive use of Hand calculations and FEA as well as customer liaison.
  • Manage, coach and develop a small team of Design Engineers.
  • Generate initial costing and schedule information to create relevant AFE.
  • Deliver technical design/development projects within required deadlines and cost targets.
  • Component and assembly design from concept to production.
  • Carry out assigned design tasks on time, to the required quality and within budget.
  • Responsible for control of tasks, including spend and identifying need for budget/contract revisions.
  • Management of prototype testing process, including creation of test procedures, test schedules, results and report writing.
  • Generate handover procedures including BOMs, Part numbering structures, product manuals etc.
  • Work with the Centre of Excellence team to ensure smooth handover of products into production.
