Hydratight has been recognised for its global leadership in workforce development after being named International Training Organisation of the Year for the second consecutive year at the 2025 Engineering Construction Industry (ECI) Training and Development Awards.
The prestigious awards ceremony took place at Glaziers Hall in London, celebrating excellence in training and development across the engineering construction industry in Great Britain and internationally. The event was organised by the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) and hosted by scientist and broadcaster Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock, bringing together industry leaders and future talent from across the sector.
The award recognises outstanding delivery of ECITB training courses by ECITB Global licensed providers, with a focus on technical skills, health and safety, and workforce competency. Hydratight was selected for its continued commitment to raising standards through high-quality training solutions delivered across multiple regions worldwide.
Global Recognition for ECITB Training Excellence
Hydratight was first announced as the Central Asia & Asia Pacific regional winner earlier this year for its work in Singapore, before going on to secure the overall international title. The company saw off competition from fellow regional winners Technology of Petroleum Services (TPS) from Saudi Arabia and Solid Rock Life and Business of Uganda. The award was presented by category sponsor KBR.
This latest recognition follows Hydratight’s 2024 win for its work in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, reinforcing the company’s position as a global leader in ECITB training courses and competency development.
Advancing ECITB MJI Mechanical Joint Integrity standards
Hydratight delivers specialist mechanical services to asset owners across the oil and gas, power generation and industrial sectors and was recognised by the judges for its long-standing collaboration with the ECITB to enhance ECITB MJI Mechanical Joint Integrity training standards and programmes.
With more than 30 years of experience working with the ECITB in the UK, and over a decade licensed to deliver ECITB MJI Mechanical Joint Integrity and onsite machining training and testing overseas, Hydratight supports clients and workforces across five continents. Judges praised the company for “yet again being one of the stand-out training providers overseas this year.”
Focus on Innovation and Global Growth
Commenting on the achievement, Jason Barnard, Global Technical Competency Leader at Hydratight, said:
“We won this award last year and so to win two years in a row is a massive achievement for all of our training team that deliver this.
“We won this year for Asia Pacific and we do a lot in the region, but this is just as much about recognising the work we do in other areas around the world, like the Middle East.
“One of the key things for us this year is the massive growth we’ve seen in MJI e-learning internationally. I think the next step for us is to really focus on the technical testing side of things.”
Hydratight continues to invest in innovative learning solutions, including the expansion of digital delivery for ECITB MJI Mechanical Joint Integrity programmes, ensuring consistent, high-quality training aligned with evolving industry needs.
As the company moves into 2026, Hydratight remains focused on delivering world-class ECITB training courses that support safe, competent, and reliable integrity assurance practices across the global engineering construction industry.
